EltaMD UV Clear Facial Sunscreen Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 attains the seemingly impossible: protecting sensitive, acne-prone skin from sun damage without feeling greasy, heavy, or sticky. The secret? Its oil-free formula is silky smooth on the skin and actually helps calm irritation like rosacea.

@eltamdskincare / Via

Promising review: “I found this gem on the Environmental Working Group (EWG) website. Do you know how hard it is to find a skin product that is safe from dangerous chemicals, gentle on sensitive skin, and that despite all this-still works effectively? It’s even harder to find a higher SPF sunblock that meets these criteria. Well, Elta MD has not only delivered on these promises: They offer all this in a formula that looks so natural that it doesn’t leave you looking like a ghost or mime. It also applies smoothly to work well under makeup. On top of this, it does not clog my acne-prone pores or dry out my face. It even comes in a tinted version and is made in the US. What more do you want?? This is my sun protection product for life.” —Liz T.

Promising review: “I’m in my late thirties and am still struggling with cystic (hormonal) acne. I needed three to four products to hide the suckers, but after a couple days of using the mini, my skin looked better. A few months later and my skin looks and feels more amazing. It’s soft and smooth. I still get breakouts, but they’re smaller and heal within a day or two. I’ve got a whole cabinet full of skin products and makeup that I just don’t need anymore. Yes, I agree that it’s pricey, but think of how much you’ll save on other skincare products that you won’t need anymore!” —M Gannon

L’Occitane 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream ensures your hands are always deliciously smooth with its nourishing shea butter, honey, coconut oil, and almond extract. It sinks in quickly and fully so you can go about your day without oily, greasy hands.

@loccitane / Via

Promising review: “A fantastic product for extremely dry hands like mine. It surpasses any other hand cream I’ve tried. Especially amazing in the winter, and I have sensitive skin that burns with certain creams that claim to be gentle on hands. It feeds — not coats — the skin, so dry skin becomes healthy instead of being covered in a waxy, lingering grease. It absorbs pretty fast too, so don’t expect to accidentally grease up paperwork or touchscreen tech. A little goes a LONG way — use a quarter-inch squeeze, and it covers both hands and then some! My second bottle lasted over half a year, even when that year was very dry. And DO cut it open when you can’t get any more out, as there is at least a week’s light use hiding in there.” —abuyer4u

Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm softens and smooths your skin while gently lifting away makeup and cleansing your face of dirt and grime. And its superstar ingredients — hello, sweet almond oil, Mediterranean algae, and nine essential oils among others — will make you feel like you’re in a luxurious day spa anytime you use it.

Apply a teaspoon-sized amount morning and night and watch your skin start to glow. (You can see the change in the before-and-after photos above. This was the reviewer’s first ever use!) It’s also a great weekly facial mask for that extra oomph, and it even comes with a cleansing cloth for easy removal.

Promising review: “I’m hooked! My skin is acne-prone, oily, and super sensitive. I usually alternate between Murad Clarifying Cleanser and Philosophy Purity Made Simple. I can use the aforementioned with the balm, or just the balm on its own. Using the cloth also makes it go the extra mile. Deep cleans, softens, and smooths the skin. Huge bonus: it smells like spa heaven!! I’ve been recommending to everyone! Even my husband loves it, and that’s saying something!!” —Teeniebkln

Skyn Iceland The Antidote Cooling Lotion is basically like a trip to Iceland at a fraction of the cost (and minus a seat neighbor who takes off their shoes). It de-stresses your oily, congested, redness-prone skin with its calming blend of white willow bark (salicylic acid), omega fatty acids (preserve skin’s moisture barrier), mint (reduce redness), jojoba (soothe and moisturize), and Icelandic kelp (fight inflammation) among others.

@skyniceland / Via

Promising review: “I am somewhat of a moisturizer junkie and have tried so many products. I received a sample of this and immediately knew I needed more. It has such a nice, cooling feeling and does not leave my skin feeling heavy or oily. My skin alternates between dry and oily (depending on the weather), and this product leaves my skin always feeling refreshed. It is on the more expensive side, but I feel that it’s worth it. Also, a little bit goes a long way. One pump takes care of my whole face and neck. I’ve had this bottle for about a month now and still have about 60% to 70% left.” —Sarah Myrna

Tony Moly The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream supplies your skin with much-needed moisture. How? This gel-based moisturizer
contains 63% fermented green tea extract that creates a thin layer of hydration on the skin and helps it lock in moisture.

http://@/tonymoly.us_official / Via

“Chok chok” means “damp” or “moist” in Korean and refers to a juicy, dewy shine to the face. 💦💦

Promising review: “This is my favorite moisturizer for many reasons. Even though it doesn’t have a lot of fancy ingredients, it’s gentle and the ingredients that are in it have low CosDNA (acne ingredient checker) scores. Its texture is really interesting as well; it’s halfway between a jelly and a cream and it melts into your skin easily. I’ve been cutting down on the products that I use in my skincare routine because I’ve realized that more products does not necessarily equate to better skin. For me, it’s better to optimize my routine so that it’s short, but covers all the essential steps of skincare (cleansing, actives, and moisturizing). This is the ideal moisturizer for my oily, sensitive skin, so it’s remained a staple in my routine.” —Charlie

Mario Badescu Buffering Lotion makes cystic acne disappear in a flash thanks to its potent formula of nourishing B vitamins that clear the skin and anti-inflammatory herbal extracts that speed healing.

Promising review: “I usually never write reviews, but I had to for this. I have been blessed with great skin all of my life until I stopped taking birth control last year. One day I woke up and my entire forehead broke out. I tried every remedy — including homeopathic — and nothing would help. It was making me very self-conscious and I just wanted my skin back. I randomly came across this on Amazon while looking for acne treatments and thought the reviews were too good to be true. I decided to try it and after a month my acne was completely gone, and it hasn’t returned!! I am so satisfied with this product and will keep buying it for future breakouts.” —Kayla McDuffie

Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 neutralizes redness while simultaneously protecting your skin from the sun’s damaging rays. This color-changing cream goes from green to beige and absorbs into the skin flawlessly; in fact, some reviewers wear it in place of foundation when they need light coverage.

@drjart / Via,

Promising review: “Okay, so this product is alllll over the beauty blogs, and it is WORTH IT. The jar is larger and heavier than you will expect — a little will go a long way, and if you use too much, it will feel like a heavy sunscreen. Today I only dabbed a light amount in the corners of my nose and on my cheeks, chin and forehead in areas that looked ruddy or had sunspots, acne scars, etc. All I am wearing is this cream, mascara and brow pomade. There’s zero filter on the camera, and I feel pretty dang confident in my skin.” —kelp7

Mad Hippie Antioxidant Facial Oil hydrates the skin while also helping reduce the appearance of scarring and evening your skin tone thanks to its powerful blend of argan oil, sea buckthorn berry, pomegranate seed oil, and goji berry. A few drops mixed in with your moisturizer is all you need to make the magic happen.

Promising review: “I can’t gush enough about this antioxidant oil. It smells great and absorbs well when mixed with moisturizer (it takes longer to absorb just by itself). Because of issues with acne I use oil-free moisturizer, but that alone doesn’t do the trick when my skin is really dry due to acne medication. I add four drops of this oil with my moisturizer day and night, and it helps keep my skin hydrated and smooth. My skin has a glow to it and it also seems to help with oil control. This oil has also not caused my skin to break out.” —Jamie Lee

Price: $19.99 (cruelty-free, PETA certified), @larocheposayusa / Via

Promising review: “I’ve been using this product for several years, and I’ve never been disappointed. It diminishes pimples gently over a few days, and my skin never gets flaky or dry. For reference I’m 46 with oily skin, but my skin can get dry using regular benzoyl peroxide. In addition, if left to its own devices, my face will break out with cystic acne. Not a lot, but enough. This product keeps it smooth and pimples to a minimum. I know, because when I run out and try to use something else to save money, I inevitably break out once again. When I start using it again, I do use it morning and night to get the breakout under control, and then I can go back to nightly application. As long as you’re not sensitive to BP, which is why some may have not had good luck with this product, this cream really does help mild to moderate acne.” —josephine517

Coola Mineral Face SPF 30 Sunscreen Matte Tint guards your beautiful face from sun damage with its fluffy mousse-like formula that’s lightweight and not one bit oily — truly a blessing if you have oily skin/want to apply makeup over it! It actually absorbs into the skin so it never feels sticky, and reviewers say it doesn’t leave behind a white cast.

@coola / Via,

Promising review: “Over and over again I try to find a cheaper zinc-based facial sunscreen, and I always come back and spend all my money on this one. The texture of this sunscreen is DIVINE and I have yet to find another sunscreen like it. You have to shake it well for the first few weeks, but it comes out like a light whipped mousse and feels velvety to the touch as you apply it. My most common problem with zinc-based facial sunscreens is that the ones that rub in nicely enough to not leave you white and chalky always made my face way too greasy. This is not the case with this sunscreen. It has a true matte finish and primes my face perfectly if I am adding another layer of tinted moisturizer/foundation. I have a photo allergy to most chemical-based sunscreen ingredients, so I am therefore limited to physical sunscreens like zinc and titanium dioxide. It is really, really hard to find ones that rub in fully, don’t leave a white cast, and don’t contain nano-particles (which don’t have enough research on them for me to trust). This one is the only one I have found that does it all for me.” —Kayla B.

@avenusa / Via

Promising review: “This is a holy grail product for me, I don’t know what I would do without it. It is perfect for my ultra sensitive skin! I have over 30 contact allergies and this is the only product that works for me and keeps my skin from drying out and flaking.” —Bridget

Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Gold Collagen Eye Masks don’t mess around when it comes to de-puffing your under-eye area. Collagen and hyaluronic acid bring back much-needed moisture and elasticity, and vitamin A and rose oil calm, brighten, and protect your skin from UV damage. The result = looking like you *actually* got a full eight hours of sleep.

Promising review: “These eye masks are absolutely amazing! I have hereditary dark circles under my eyes, as well as slight bags from being a mother of four. Eye creams do absolutely nothing for me, and I gave these a try just on a whim, not really expecting much. But they really work! The results aren’t permanent, but I put these on for about an hour in the evening while I relax and watch tv, and my under eyes are much lighter and less puffy. It’s easier to do them at night, but I’ve started wearing them in the morning so the effects last me through the day. I absolutely love these eye masks, and I will never be without them again!” —Kate Johnson

Dr. Roebucks Tassie Anti-Pollution Serum defends your face from pollution and environmental stressors with a formula that’s rich in natural ingredients — myramaze (strengthens the skin), blueberry extract (reduces free radical damage) and amino acids (boosts collagen production).

@drroebucks / Via, Emma McAnaw / BuzzFeed

Promising review: “I’ll admit I used to avoid serums for fear I’d break out (my skin is more sensitive than a John Mayer album), but this one isn’t over-moisturizing at all and my face really feels refreshed, as if I hadn’t spent the day walking through what I imagine the rainforest would feel like if it also emitted carbon dioxide 24/7. It also feels a little tighter (in a good way!), as if my pores are literally learning to close themselves off to smog. Plus, I love that you ~pump~ out the formula, so it lasts longer — instead of eyeballing how much to squeeze out like a traditional serum (I’m guilty of over-applying).” —Emma McAnaw

Pai Rosehip Cleansing Oil melts away makeup, dirt, and grime with ease — no more tugging at that waterproof mascara. But it’s so velvety smooth on the skin that you might get a bit carried away with a very relaxing face massage. It washes off with water and is a great cleanser on its own or as a precursor to a water-based cleanser.

I love, love, love this. I use it both as a makeup remover (I follow it with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser) or on its own when I’m feeling lazy. I like to warm it up in my hands first before I start massaging my face; as a result, I feel like I’m getting a mini facial at home. And the best part is when you mix it with water, it becomes almost milky and easily washes off — something my other gel cleansers can’t do. —Melanie

Promising review: “I love this stuff! I bought it first at a store in the local mall and when I ran out, I repurchased from Amazon. Quality was the same as first time I bought which I was scared wouldn’t be. You do have to follow the directions or it won’t work as well (apply to dry skin), and I noticed people were rating it lower based on not using it correctly. My skins looks and feels so much younger and fresher. It’s the second year of my adult life that I haven’t had flaky skin on my face. I’m so thankful the lady at the mall recommended this to me over lotion.” —Tearose81

Sunday Riley Luna is a skincare hero you shouldn’t sleep on — OK, actually, you’re supposed to wear it overnight, but you know what I mean! It’s a retinol oil that plumps your skin, reduces redness and fine lines, and makes your skin feel oh so soft.

Sunday Riley has gotten a lot of flak recently for faking reviews, but I can 100% swear by this bad boy. I like to apply one drop on each cheek and my forehead, massage it into the skin, and then go to bed. (It is blue and could potentially stain your white pillowcase if you’re a side or stomach sleeper, so just a heads up!) The next morning my skin is literally glowing and so soft that I can’t stop touching it. Some people complain about the smell, which is a bit herbal (blame the blue tansy), but it’s mild enough that it doesn’t bother me and I can’t smell it once I’ve applied it. —Melanie
